Gezer Shoes aims for technology and export-focused growth in 2026
Gezer Shoes announced that it plans to maintain its leadership position in 2026 by strengthening its existing infrastructure through technology investments and value-added exports. Company officials stated that they will respond to cost pressures in the sector with innovation and strategic moves. The company aims to increase the export value per product by making new investments in PVC, PU, and EVA-based production lines. Additionally, the use of sustainable raw materials and the transition to environmentally friendly technologies are among the priorities.
’’2026 could be a year of recovery for the Turkish footwear industry’’
Gezer Shoes General Manager Osman Özalp said, "Gezer Shoes' current strength lies in its annual production capacity of 100 million pairs in a 100,000 square meter closed area and its approximately 2,500 employees. The company maintains its operational efficiency thanks to its facilities in Istanbul and Bolu and three logistics centers. We currently export to more than 60 countries, and we aim to increase this number to over 70 by 2026 with new markets with high purchasing power." Özalp stated that the company's 2026 strategy is shaped around three main axes: "Our strategy is to shorten delivery times by strengthening our dynamic logistics network, invest in sustainable technologies in EVA and PU production, and focus on niche markets to bring value-added products to the forefront. Industry representatives predict that 2026 could be a year of recovery following the decline in 2025. In line with this expectation, Gezer Ayakkabı aims to contribute to increasing Turkey's share in the global footwear market through government incentives and technological transformation. Gezer stated, “In 2026, we will operate under the slogan ‘A stronger Turkey with every step.’ We will continue our production with a wide range of over 2,000 models, from babies to adults.”
